Dr. Nancy Ly, pronounced “Lee,” is a board-certified pediatric dentist who believes a positive dental experience can make all the difference for a child. Her approach is gentle, thoughtful, and centered on helping kids feel safe, comfortable, and understood.

Born in California and raised in Louisiana, Dr. Ly brings together creativity, warmth, and genuine kindness in the way she cares for families. Her path to pediatric dentistry began with her own childhood experience. Like many kids, she was afraid of the dentist until one positive visit changed everything. That moment inspired her to create those same reassuring experiences for children of her own patients.

Dr. Ly earned her molecular biology degree from Louisiana State University Shreveport before attending Louisiana State University School of Dentistry. She later completed her pediatric dentistry residency at UT Health Houston, where she deepened her passion for working with children and met her husband, Dr. Tom.

As a board-certified pediatric dentist, Dr. Ly is affiliated with the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, and the Texas Dental Association. She is passionate about providing quality dental care while helping children build confidence in their smiles.

Dr. Ly especially enjoys connecting with children in ways that feel approachable and easy to understand. Whether it’s explaining a visit in kid-friendly terms or taking extra time to help a child feel comfortable, she believes small moments of trust can create lasting positive experiences.

Outside the office, Dr. Ly enjoys yoga and spending time with family. She and her husband, Dr. Tom, have two young children, and the joys of family life shape the warm, inviting environment they hope every family feels when they walk through their doors.

Dr. Thomas “Dr. Tom” Sanchez is a board-certified pediatric dentist known for his energentic, patient-centered approach and his ability to help children feel comfortable and supported during their visits. With a background that began in nursing and evolved into pediatric dentistry, Dr. Tom brings a thoughtful, compassionate perspective to caring for young patients.

Originally from El Paso, Texas, Dr. Tom began his career as a registered nurse, where he spent five years caring for patients and building a strong foundation in healthcare. He later pursued dentistry, earning his dental degree from the UT Health Science Center San Antonio. After dental school, Dr. Tom served on active duty in the military as a general dentist for five years, followed by nine years in private practice before discovering his passion for pediatric dentistry.

To further specialize in caring for children, Dr. Tom completed his pediatric dentistry residency at UT Health Houston, where he refined his skills in behavior guidance and child-focused care. It was also there that he met Dr. Ly, and together they began building their shared vision for Polished Pediatric Dentistry.

As a board-certified pediatric dentist, Dr. Tom is affiliated with the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, and the Texas Dental Association. His approach focuses on quality care, thoughtful recommendations, and helping children develop positive dental experiences from an early age.

Outside the office, Dr. Tom enjoys spending time with family and embracing life as a parent alongside Dr. Ly. As both a pediatric dentist and a father, he understands how important it is for families to find a dental home where kids feel safe, supported, and cared for.
